Alastair Brewster is a Lincolnshire artist who has had work exhibited in Gainsborough and the Usher Gallery, Lincoln, but also wider afield in Dublin, Ireland. Working predominately in acrylic and pencil Alastair has been a huge fan of fantasy and science fiction art all his life. His early works, however, tended to be more traditional (represented by the images below: his friend Matt, and his brother as part of a successful triptych that was displayed in the Usher gallery). Other notable commissions have been several pieces that were painted in conjunction with the legendary folk band, "The Dubliners" - paintings that have garnered huge praise from band members themselves and many of their associates - including leading "Dubliner" archivist, James Whelan.
Recently, though, Alastair has focussed his attention on his passion for intrigue, fantasy and otherworldliness, 'Private commissions have always been my focus and I can now offer a unique service which combines traditional painting skills with a limitless palette of themes and settings'.
'I love representing something which is different and dreamlike, and in this age of Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Dr Who, people want to feel a part of the fantasy - I can offer that with my Fantasy Portraits'.
